I didn't take a picture of it. It all got eaten up. ^^

I can't believe how hard it is to find fenugreek around here. I had to get it at a health food store. =_= And I got the boneless leg of lamb at Trader Joe's. It was really fun hacking that into pieces. =_=;;;; I'm so sick of chicken curry, though, so it was a nice change of pace. Next time, I think I'll make shrimp curry.

So, I finished Mesh...I actually liked it, but I'm not sure if it would knock Barbara Ikai out of my #2 Moto Hagio manga slot. I found Barbara Ikai to be easier to get into and it had better pacing, but Mesh had better characters(in fact, there were several characters in Barbara Ikai that I'm still not sure if there was any point to them at all). Can I call it a tie, then?

I'm reading Paradise Kiss now. I got Vol. 1 used from jpqueen ages ago, and now I'm finally reading it. I like it so far, but I really liked Gokinjo Monogatari, so it's not a surprise... I like the way Ai Yazawa writes about issues other than whether or not the heroine will wind up with some cool, powerful guy who'll protect her. So much shoujo manga encourages girls to underachieve, like it's the ultimate fantasy to be vapid and talentless but still have all these cute guys fall for you, and eventually the best one will be your lover/soul mate and you'll never have to worry about graduating from high school, or having any interests or talents of your own, because you have a MAN. ::coughs:: Fruits Basket::coughs::Fushigi Yuugi:: Why don't these worthless shoujo manga heroines ever have to face something other than whether or not they'll have a guy to take care of them? Like...uh...going to college? Or defying their parents for a reason other than dating a guy they don't like?

As you can tell, I'm quite cranky and have been so for quite a while...
