Don't look out the window...

Those were some fun storms today. We got a tornado warning and everything, but even though we got a lot of thunder and lightning, we didn't get very much rain. It all stopped around 3:00 PM, and I was very relieved that we got it over with early, until I watched the 5:00 news. Somebody had taken a picture in my hometown(Cheshire, CT) of an industrial complex down the street from me that's about a 3 minute drive from where I live. I got my new glasses there. And what was in the background of the picture? A funnel cloud!

Good thing I stayed downstairs and didn't look out the window! I would have freaked out! Good thing it never touched the ground!

I'm not seriously traumatized, mainly because I never convinced myself that we don't get tornadoes in New England. I know they can happen anywhere, and it's not like seeing a funnel cloud in my neighborhood changes the odds of seeing another one...or not seeing one. But I'm really glad I just went downstairs when we got the tornado warning, and didn't take a peek outside!
