In an attempt to relive my wasted childhood(somebody should have intervened before I filled my brain with The Babysitters Club and Sweet Valley High), I've been reading below my reading level again. I just finished Dogsbody by Diana Wynne Jones. I found it one of her better books--I know its one of her earlier ones, but I was pretty disappointed in Castle in the Air and A Tale of Time City. I haven't decided if I prefer it to Howl's Moving Castle, but I just might--it's darker and not as funny, but it had more emotional impact and a better sense of direction with the writing. I'm impressed that the author managed to write a book involving the daughter of an IRA bomber and not turn it into a political soapbox toward one side or another.
I do think that J.K. Rowling has been a naughty little monkey, though. An accused murderer named Sirius(actually, he IS Sirius) in the body of a dog, has a penchant for losing his temper, and lives in a house with two cats named Romulus and Remus?
Anyway. I like Harry Potter and all, but that's a little...well...
I made some more progress on my sweater, as you can see:

I think the horizontal stripes make the bed look fat.

And I also wasted too much time on Sweet Valley Twins.
