Soul Hackers no Subete and Soul Hackers no Subete: Revision are not the same book.
Granted, since the former is for the Saturn version and the latter is for the PSX version, I had assumed that Revisionwas just a longer version of the original book. But there's a good bit of content(mainly text) that's different and some that's only in the Saturn book. Granted, the PSX version is longer and has a Q&A section about the characters that's not in the original, but the original book has bigger illustrations and some stuff that I miss in Revision. So I've decided that the two books are different enough that I'm keeping both of them. And I no longer feel stupid for bidding on an auction for 2 copies of the same book. And it cost a big 750 yen, yeah!
Plus fees...
And they've been sitting at Celga for months, and finally broke down and had them shipped...
The shipping cost about 3 times as much as the books!
I have some more commissions coming in, and I'm working on knitting a ribbon yarn top for Lauren...I have a little more than half of it done. I hope it fits okay. Good thing she's so small, or I'd have to get even more yarn, and that ribbon yarn costs almost $6 a skein. ^^;;; And then I have to make a baby blanket that Mom's going to give to one of her coworkers. She is paying me for it. I don't want her to break the bank for something that I made but she was so outraged by what happened a few weeks ago that she won't let me do it for free. The problem is, the baby's gender is undetermined. I was going to do this yellow/lavender/blue/pink mix, with the border in purple, blue-violet, and blue, and it wouldn't matter if it were a boy or a girl, but these people might be kind of old-fashioned... I personally would be fine with blue or green for a girl, but pink for a boy might be ehhh. Pink is a tough color. It's a little politically charged, even though I'm very fond of the color myself...Well, I have a bunch of yarn to choose from... I think I will do the purple/blue thing. I also have some green yarn on hand, but I think it would clash if I used it with some of those other colors.

Date: 2005-09-08 02:06 am (UTC)I don't think there are any colors I completely hate, just certain shades of colors. I'm not that fond of orange, though. I secretly think that red-violet is the coolest color ever but you hardly see it anywhere!
I think they consider yellow to be the safe, unisex color but if it's a baby blanket some blue or pink is going to find its way in there.

Date: 2005-09-08 04:08 am (UTC)It would be nice if you got suggestions from anyone other than Mom. I guess it's supposed to be a surprise but if they just knew the gender of the baby....I personally wouldn't complain about a boy-looking blanket for a girl, but since Mom is involved she's bound to complain about that too. So how about neutral gray? o_o
