...sewing a little dress for Lauren's new Korororororon out of the last scraps of lovely cherry blossom print fabric I pulled out of a drawer. I started reading Queen of the Damned, which is an entertaining piece of garbage(sorry, Anne Rice fans!) Lauren insisted that I read it because I found The Vampire Lestat such a hoot.

I also had a mini-epiphany about the story I'm working on that will make my life a bit easier. If I'm worried about my child heroine not sounding young enough in book 1(while not wanting the book to be unreadable), and concerned that having a five year age jump between each of the three books will make my target audience too confusing, why not have the books be actual books written by the main character after the end of the story? She is obsessed with reading books and wants to write stories, so why not have her write her own story? At the end of the story, she's going to need something to do. Maybe she'll give the books to somebody special.

I think it sounds like a good idea. Sometimes when you're having a hard time with voice you need to make a change like that. ^_^ I bet things will be much easier for you now!

I had a hard time finding that book! That was the first Anne Rice book I'd ever read. I had a lot of fun with it, but really, it's a guilty pleasure. XD

Sorry to totally comment randomly, I was looking for somebody to reroot one of my Momoko's and I realized you also did the lovely Pure Neemo (forgot which one :P) reroot on the PN LJ comm so I thought I'd like to be LJ friends with you too! :) You are so talented, I wish I could reroot and sew for dolls too :).

I'm swamped with orders right now, but I don't know how many of these people are really ready to go, so if you don't mind being added to a wait list, I can keep you posted about how long you might have to wait. I have rerooted a Momoko before. ^_^

As far as sewing, I'm still pretty green. I'm experimenting with resizing Licca patterns to 90%, and swapping out the sleeves and skirts with other patterns to make them look less...matronly. ^_^ I made a cute little blue dress for my Sweet Punk Girls! Chiika that I cheated on by using the scalloped edge of a piece of eyelet for most of the hems, ha ha!

I actually found your rerooting page first and poked around your site and found your LJ which I realized was familiar haha. I'd love it if you could add me to the wait list, my email is grimrock@gmail.com. I love my Miracle Party Momoko, but her hair is driving me nuuuuuuutssssssss lol. The wait would probably be good anyways, I need to think about the color/style I want for her.

I can't sew anything so you are way ahead of me there xD.
