An ending and a beginning.
Jan. 20th, 2010 07:09 pmI haven't been writing as much as I used to, but I'm going to kick myself into high gear now. I just finished crocheting a 54" by 65" afghan for Lauren, done entirely out of aborted knitting projects, and it took me a little under a month. I'll take a picture once the ends are all woven in(and WHO do you think is going to do that?). I had so much yarn that I was able to be picky about the placement of the colors, so it doesn't really look like a stashghan. It looks more like a watermelon. ^^
I also made myself finish Devil Survivor. It's a very good game but I have a hard time finishing handheld games--they're just as easy to put down and forget as they are to pick up. I messed up and wound up doing Amane's route, even though I wanted to do Gin's(and wondering why his handle is Gin when his name is written Jin in katakana). I started Strange Journey right after that. I had preordered it but didn't touch it and I actually worried that I had accidentally thrown it out. I've been playing it for about 10 hours and am in the second area. I don't like hard sci-fi but it's an excellent game. It seems more like Nocturne than the more recent releases but it's still different...it has more of a story and reminds me more of Lauren's limited foray into Shin Megami Tensei II. And hey, at least the characters aren't as hateful as the ones in Nocturne. The game is fairly difficult but the encounter rate is surprisingly low. I mean, it's like Soul Hackers low.
