A little work done.
Sep. 3rd, 2009 08:45 pmI just went for my 4th eye appointment today(!), and I now have a new right contact. Looks like I'm -4.00 in the right, not -3.75. And still -2.50 in the left. I wondered why my vision was still a little wonky... The world looks so strange in contacts if you're used to wearing glasses, especially since I'm used to wearing glasses with rather small frames. I feel like I'm walking on stilts. My field of vision is so much larger, but it makes the ground feel really low to the point where I'm stumbling over my own feet. ^^;;; Still, it's nice. I can rub my face all over Boo Boo and not get smudges on my glasses. It is a little bit of a pain to have to make sure the contacts are right side up when I put them in, since those little lines on the bottom are quite faint.
I actually got some writing done today. I wrote 3 pages. ::laughs:: What a slacker I am! If I'm really serious about finishing this book, I'm going to have to write faster, but I've been so distracted lately, to the point where I've been afraid to pick up the pen. I get these moments where I think about my story and wonder if anybody is going to care about these drones and their silly lives. But the show must go on. It's better for me to be harsh with myself than to have this enormous, misguided ego where I think that everything that comes out of my pen is genius.
Also...I'm...uh...playing Ar Tonelico ::laughs:: I bought the JP budget release last year. I'm not sure if I mentioned playing it before. I don't know what to say...I mean, I like it, and I think it's a decent game...but it's wrong on so many levels... Regardless of what the staff intended, it's just so wrong!
