Lauren made this A-line dress from a Blythe pattern for my Sweet Punk Girls! Miu. She gave me Miu for Christmas(and I got her Aika)

I love the Ex-Cute series so much--I sold off a lot of my old collection for them. ^^;;; Lauren's going to teach me to use the sewing machine, too...

I've been reading Diana Wynne Jones's The Dalemark Quartet. Diana Wynne Jones has always been a mixed bag to me. I guess it's the result of being such a prolific author, but some of her stories are quite good, a lot are mediocre, and some are actually poor. I found The Pinhoe Egg to be one of her worst stories, despite the good reviews. It just meandered and the writing was really sloppy. Out of The Dalemark Quartet, I've read the first two stories. I found Cart and Cwidder to be pretty weak, but Drowned Ammett was much, much better. I'm sure the Diana Wynne Jones fans will be ready to crucify me, but I vastly prefer the stories where she's willing to get gritty, rather than her more lighthearted stories because I just think they're much better written. It just seems like her heart wasn't in the other stories, or she worked from a plan for the darker stories and not for the others(as far as I know, she says she never works from a plan at at all, which is something that I really don't recommend unless you want to do even more rewrites than you would if you did work from a plan ^^;;;) I guess she has to pay the bills somehow!
