Well, it's done...
Jun. 12th, 2006 08:47 pmI finished my sweater tonight. No pictures--I'm still weaving in the myriad yarn ends. It's a shame the sweater's totally off-season. I'm sure that once I get around to making a summer sweater, it'll be fall already.
I have NEVER knitted a sweater with so many ends to weave in. You'd think with stripes you'd be able to carry the colors up the side, but...well...there are eight different colors, anyway!
Now I have no sweaters to make. ::sighs:: Just that Koigu lace scarf I've been procrastinating on because it has a ton of annoying lace repeats. Finish it already!
I've finally decided to stop lying to myself and come to terms with the fact that White Flower Farm sent me the wrong peony three years ago. I've started calling it Not Lady Alexandra Duff. I thought it was the climate or the soil or something that was making the flowers come up practically bubblegum pink instead of pale pink/white like they're supposed to, but it's not a hydrangea! And the flower shape is wrong.
And here's a a nice in-vase shot of Not Lady Alexandra Duff:

Damn, those blinds are filthy! ::screams:: :: scrubs blinds::
I dunno if anybody but me here knows anything about herbaceous peonies, but those flowers look like a dead ringer for this one to me! Definitely not this one...
::grumble grumble:: White Flower Farm doesn't even SELL Mons. Jules Elie! Well, they might have sold it three years ago, but I don't remember... Now I feel bad. I'm disappointed, but it's still my peony. ::pats flopped-out peony bush::
