Rain rain rain...
Sep. 29th, 2004 01:32 amIt's been raining all bloody day. Normally, I enjoy the rain, but this was the special kind, fueled by the guts of Hurricane Jeanne, so naturally I was worried about tornadoes. The tornado watches kept creeping up the Mid-Atlantic, and the guy on the Weather Channel said they would "likely spread into Long Island" so I was not happy at all! That's a little close for comfort! I can't see how they'd be able to put Long Island under tornado watch and not get southern Connecticut as well.(I live in a town "slightly southwest of central Connecticut", as they say) But it was okay. =_= Mom is pissed at me, though, because she gets mad when I worry about the weather. Then again, this is the same person who yelled at me because I was too upset to cook dinner on 9-11...
This hurricane season has been nuts. I think everybody on the East Coast's nerves are fried(but the Southeast in particular). We never got this stuff before! Well, next year can't possibly be worse... I mean, I can deal with wind and rain(provided that it's not an actual landfalling hurricane), but tornadoes...granted, the tornado threat always mysteriously vanishes as soon as the tropical depression of the week approaches CT. I mean, New Jersey can be getting nailed, and nothing here...they do sometimes threaten us, though!
But I did do some stuff today. I finished an afghan that was a total mess a year ago(I had to unravel the whole thing). And Lauren and I got our first perfect score in Pop'n Music, ever. Granted, it was Lounge Pop... ^^;;;
