Moon Vine!
Aug. 22nd, 2004 11:48 pmWe had three days of horrible humid weather and horrible thunderstorms, complete with a tornado warning on Saturday. =_= But today was lovely, and they say it's going to be nice until at least Thursday.
We got a nice surprise today! Our moon vine bloomed! This is the third year we've tried it--the first year none of the seeds would germinate, and the second we got all these flower buds and an early September frost killed it. It has one giant white flower that we can't photograph, unfortunately, because they bloom at night. Hopefully it will make a lot of new flower buds.
The black kitty came back while I was watering my nine basil plants and wanted to sit on my lap, but I'm afraid of her claws, so I just petting her. Good thing I didn't put fertilizer in the watering can, because she kept trying to drink from it!
