It's been so rainy lately that I haven't been doing any supplemental watering but I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that it's been rainy but alternating with daytime temperatures in the 80s? I wondered if maybe the insecticidal soap was doing it because we had had a big problem with aphids, so after a while I stopped spraying Polareis, wondering if the spraying was hurting the foliage. Maybe I should try not spraying it with anything...no insecticidal soap, no Actinovate(which is an organic fungicide that's supposed to build up helpful nematodes in the soil), no nothing.

I'm starting to wonder if rugosas have issues with getting water on their foliage not unlike poppies...
